Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Cuddlebot Studio LLC ("Cuddlebot", "we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Cuddlebot website and apps (the "Service"). Cuddlebot is a family streaming service; accounts are held by adults.
Information we collect
- Account & subscription: the email address you subscribe and sign in with, and your subscription status and history (held by our streaming provider, Vimeo OTT).
- Sign-in codes: the one-time codes we email you to log in.
- Usage & device: pages viewed, stories played, and general device/browser information, collected via analytics.
- In the mobile apps: a random identifier for the installation and a device label (so you can see and remove your signed-in devices), your My List favourites and the stories you play, a push notification token if you allow notifications, and crash and error reports. Crash reports do not include your name or email address.
- Bot-protection signals: when you sign in, Cloudflare Turnstile performs an invisible check to tell humans from bots.
- On-device preferences: your theme and viewing progress are stored locally in your browser and are not sent to us.
We do not knowingly collect information directly from children, and we do not sell your personal information.
How we use information
- To provide the Service: sign you in, confirm your subscription, and stream content.
- To secure the Service and prevent abuse of our sign-in.
- To understand how the Service is used and improve it.
- To communicate with you about your account and, if you opt in, new stories.
- To comply with legal obligations.

We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect rights and safety.
Cookies & local storage
We use browser local storage for essential preferences (theme, viewing progress, sign-in session) and analytics/bot-protection may set cookies or similar identifiers. You can clear these in your browser at any time; some features may not work without them.
Data retention
We keep account information for as long as your subscription is active and as needed for legal, security, and accounting purposes, then delete or anonymise it.
Your choices & rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, email needahug@cuddlebot.studio. You can delete your Cuddlebot account yourself at any time in the app: Profile, then Delete account. That removes your sign-in, your My List and your signed-in devices. It does not cancel a subscription, which is billed by Vimeo OTT and is cancelled from your billing page. We do not use your information to track you across other companies' apps or websites, and we show no advertising. To cancel new-story emails, use the toggle in your account or the unsubscribe link in the email.
Children's privacy
Cuddlebot is designed for families and is intended to be used by children under the supervision of a parent or guardian, who holds the account. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you.
